Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) is responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of home health services. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, oversees clinical operations, and supports business development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic goals in collaboration with the Administrator.
- Supervise professional and auxiliary personnel providing client care services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory licensure, certification criteria, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and business development strategies.
Clinical Oversight
- Establish and maintain clinical care standards for safe and effective client services.
- Evaluate programs, services, and personnel to ensure quality care.
- Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans.
- Act as a liaison with physicians, healthcare facilities, and community organizations.
Staff Development & Compliance
- Conduct staff training, orientation, and ongoing education.
- Maintain updated policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
- Support talent acquisition and hiring of home health care personnel.
- Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Texas license; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care.
- At least 1 year of direct home health experience.
- (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree: 2 years of home health experience + 1 year of supervisory experience.)
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information
- Travel required for meetings, training, and business needs.
- Must be available during business hours (Monday–Friday, 7 AM–6 PM).
- Proficiency in using PCs, multi-line phones, and office software.
